As Always our thanks go out to our Judge for the evening

12th April 2020

And so we come to our last competition of the 2020/2021 season and what a strange season it has been. We must congratulate all our members for their high quality enties to our competitions and to all the judges who have entertained and informed us this season. We are looking forward to meeting in person hopefully at the start of our next season. Until then stay safe and well. Congratulations to all our worthy Winners this evening.

15th March 2020

As always the quality of our respected judges is of the highest calibre and as always Judge James Hardy treated us to his experience and critical eye in awarding tonights scores, James had a very challenging role as the quality of our entries remains at an all time high despite the difficult circumstances we continue to find ourselves in. Thank you so much for all your efforts.

We are always treated to a high quality and critical session by Ove Alexander CPAGB. Tonight was no exception, the images were of a high quality and were judged as such by Ove. May we thank him for his time and advice on the night and we look forward to hopefully have him judge our future competitions in person in the not to distant future.

Open competition via Zoom

So we have our first competition of 2021 and sadly we still find ourselves using zoom to hold our competitions. Looking forward we do hope to resume actual face to face meetings in the not too distant future, however the quality of our entries still remains so high and its a tribute to all our members that we can maintain the quality and quantity of our photos. We were judged by the insightful Mr Will Stead EFIAP CPAGB PSA3. who provided his wealth of experience on the night. thank you so much for all your efforts.

We are now into our third competition via Zoom and we were indeed well served by our estemed Judge John Riley. who went above and beyond in his approach to the competition, his insightful comments and gentle critique were welcomed throughout the club. We do hope that we can meet in person in time, however in the meantime may we congratulate all our worthy winners and their talented approach to creating wonderful pictures.

We held our second zoom competition and were honoured to be judged by Sheila Giles, who navigated the competition with grace and expert comments. Congratulations to our worthy winners on the night and I hope that eveyone keeps submitting such high standards of work to future competitions. It is these difficult times when we find most inspiration, thank you all for attending on line and as always we hope to see everyone as soon as its safe to do so.

We wish to thank all our members for their hard work throughout this strange year and hope to resume normal club activities in the near future. in the mean time, we held our first successful Zoom competition on Monday.

We must thank all the members of the club who joined us online and in particular to our Judge on the night Darrell Oakden DPAGB EFIAP BPE4* who guided us through the cometition with his insightful comments and keen eye. Hope to see everyone in the flesh so to speak as soon as possible, but if circumstances are still preventing this then rest assured will will be holding further competionions with Zoom.

And so we close our season a little early this year due to the ongoing Covid – 19 situation, however this did not prevent us from awarding our Photographer of the Year prizes. We must thank our Judge for the competition : Dave Butler MFIAP EFIAP ARPS EPSA BPE5 ** who was invaluable. We must thank all the members who took part in the competitions throughout the season and look forward to meeting up once more hopefully at the start of 2020/2021 season. Meanwhile due to technical issues we are publishing a bare results sheet, this will be ammended aas soon as the difficulties have been resolved. Thank you all and see you all soon.

Sadly we have come to perhaps our last competition of the season, with the current Covid-19 siuation we have managed to run the compatition with our Judge casting his expert eye over PDI images sent safely over the internet. So may we profoundly thank our Judge Brian Dunsheath ARPS who we are deeply indebted to and hope to thank personally next season.

One of our most popular night is always the Scapes competition, and this years entries managed to raise the bar once more. There was some truely exeptional images entered and our judge on the night was very hard pressed to choose between them. We must congratulate Judge Ove Alexander CPAGB who had a very hard time indeed choosing our worthy winners.

And so to our Open comptition with Restrictions, we produced some outstanding images and our esteemed Judge Will Stead EFIAP CPAGB PSA3. Was hard pressed to declare the winners in each catagory, however with his customary expertise and critical analysis we have our worthy winners on the night. Thank you once more to Judge Stead.
